Ciemno takes the sound of the original instrument further into bigger and bolder territory by running it through a chain of valve preamps, compressors and vintage filters. Play it soft for a dreamy mood. Push it into mild distortion by hitting the keys harder. Ciemno is an instant mood setter.

The uniquely dark timbre of the Pianet T is a result of an innovative electro-mechanical system where tines are plucked by keyboard-controlled rubber pads, and then captured by pickups.
the story
The Pianet excells at dark, moody tones. Ciemno embraces its qualities, and pushes them further.
1950s filters, tape, an array of valve equipment and electro-acoustically sampled resonance of a piano’s soundboard were used to create a texture you’d find on a dusty tape, hidden by Thom Yorke, only to be discovered by a future civilization. Or your new record.
Time travel IS A PART OF THE PROCESS
Dial in the perfect blend of lo-fi and dirt to fit your style. Easily take the sound of the instrument from the 1970s, all the way to the earliest days of recording, by using the unique Era knob.

ELECTRO-ACOUSTIC sounds
Ciemno comes with just one patch, equipped with a range of features to make the sound your own. Use the Era knob to find the perfect sweet spot between nostalgia and analogue dirt.
The acoustic side is just half of the story, though. It’s complimented by a collection of avant-garde atmospheric textures crafted from multi-layered abstract performances created entirely in the analogue domain.
Moody chords showcase the dark side of Ciemno and the slightly driven louder dynamics. The built-in Echo and Reverb effects provide additional atmosphere further down the track.
Add an authentic resonance of an upright piano’s body to take the Pianet into a more piano-y direction. The volume envelope can be automated to transform the plucky keys into beautiful ambient pads.
The Era knob can be gradually introduced to provide all the lo-fi wobble and dirt you wish for.

Ciemno is a VST3 / AU / AAX Pianet plugin.
You’re going to need 733MB for the samples. Twice as much is required for setup. The files are watermarked to you.
Windows (10 or newer) and Mac (10.11 or newer). 8GB of RAM and an i5 or better CPU required. 64-bit only.
The plugin works in every major DAW that supports VST3, Audio Unit or AAX plugins, like Ableton Live 10 or newer, Logic, Pro Tools, Cubase, FL Studio, Studio One, Reason 12, Reaper etc.

Ciemno covers the note range between E1 and E6 with 5 round robins per sampled note.
