Locating samples

Since all Felt Instruments all sample-based, you need to locate the samples for the plugins to work. You can place the samples wherever you want. Here’s how to set them up in the plugins:

Note:
Make sure you’ve downloaded the samples before proceeding.

When you run the plugin for the first time:
1. The plugin will ask you to select the folder containing the samples.
2. Select the exact folder containing the .ch1 files.

→ In case of commercial instruments, that’s the bit you downloaded from Pulse.
→ If you’re setting up a free instrument, make sure you’ve extracted the archive containing the samples before proceeding.

3. After you’ve selected the folder, remove the plugin from the track, load it again and enjoy.
4. This is a one-time procedure. You won’t have to go through it again unless you change the sample folder’s location.

Tip: I highly suggest moving the sample pool out of the Downloads folder and storing it in a safe location, preventing an accidental removal of the files.

If you want to change the sample folder’s location or have selected a wrong folder in the step above:
1. Click on the OPTIONS tab located on the bottom of the plugin’s interface.
2. Select “Change sample folder location”.

3. Choose the folder containing the .ch1 files of the instrument you’re configuring.
4. After you’ve selected the folder, remove the plugin from the track, load it again and enjoy.
